ADV93: Warm-up 2: 12 Principles
Introduction
The purpose of this assignment is to use the 12 principles of design to create a set of three 9"x9" post cards that showcase my immediate surroundings and convey a chosen mood or message. The mood I attempted to convey was safety and coziness, with the core message being, "home is where the pets are", because I have an absurd amount of pictures of cats in my phone. The deeper meaning is about how even in unfamiliar environments, the presence and memories of family/neighborhood/friend pets is what makes a home truly a home. The work was inspired by the 1950's large letter post cards aesthetic and its process involves visual imagery manipulation using Photoshop and typographic balance through Photoshop and Adobe Express.
